She loves her family

Make the papparazzi stop!! She has got to be sick of pictures by now.
Her Aunt Amanda (Matthew's Wife) is such a natural with her. They flew in yesterday and she hasn't been able to put her down.
Her Great-Uncle Terry comes over a lot to hold her and love on her. Tonight he came over for dinner, wine and game of euchre. He lives in Orlando and works minutes from Kel's house. It is so special that Lucy will grow up knowing her great uncle loves her so much.
I am CLEARLY her favorite Aunt! :)

Lucy time!

She is too precious for words!! I am loving every minute with Lucy and Kel. They met me at the airport and Lucy was dressed in purple, just for me. We are organizing her room, singing songs and hanging out a lot. My brother Matthew and his wife Amanda fly in tonight for a few days too. Here are some quick pics of Lucy sleeping. I love the one with her toes propped up!

The Bandit

I was a 'bandit' runner this weekend in the Geist Half Marathon - kind of. The course is practically in my backyard, so I jumped in at 7.5 miles and ran to the end with Dave. I did not pay for the race, take any course refreshments or cross the finish line to get snacks or a medal. I just ran for the conversation and the mileage on the hilliest part of the course. I hardly get to run or talk with Dave these days, so 5.5 miles of uninterupted non-stop chatter was a lot of fun.

After a quick 3 mile run on Monday, I attended a pilates class at So.Be.Fit. It's been a good 6 months since I had been there, but after a big hug from Laura, the owner, I remembered why I loved it so much. She does dish out a fantastic ab and strength workout and we tried some new props I hadn't seen before.

The weather was awesome this week and I got several good runs in and even hit the elliptical for 30 minutes. I thought I would sweat to death, but it was worth it. I have never slept better than I do after a really hard workout.

This week is a yoga class on Monday with Annie, after dinner at her house. What a kind soul. There is nothing greater than time with special girlfriends. Wednesday morning I am off to Orlando to meet my new niece, Lucy!!! Watch Kel's blog for updates on my 5 day stay with her.

Yoga virgin

On Monday night I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Annie and her family, then we attended a Vinyasa Yoga class at Pathways to Wellness, in Noblesville. Annie had been several times and loved it, but I was a yoga virgin. I love trying new things, especially fitness related, and its even better when I can do it with a great friend.
I didn't think it would do much for me, but I could not have been more wrong. I immediately felt at ease - the decor was calming, the music was soothing and the instructor was gracious. He took his time during the 1.5 hour class to explain exactly what we were doing, getting to know each person and tailoring the session to specific needs. Really, it was incredible!!! I put my body in positions I would never have guessed possible. At the end, we cooled down, relaxing the mind and body while the instructor put lavender eye sachets on each of us. I left the studio more relaxed than I had been in ages and I got an incredible workout!
Have you seen Madonna's body? If yoga can do that to her, I am hooked. I have decided to buy a package and plan on attending at least 2x's a month or more. Anyone want to go with me? :)
